Three of the Four New Crunch Fitness Gyms Are Opening Right Here in the South Metro
Crunch Fitness is making a big push into Minnesota, and most of it is landing in our backyard.
The chain announced four new gyms across the metro, and three of them are going up in the south metro: Apple Valley, Burnsville, and Eagan. The fourth is the St. Paul Highland Park location, off Ford Parkway. So if you've been thinking about a gym membership, the options just got a lot closer to home.
All three are being built by the same franchisee, a group called The Undefeated Tribe, and all three use Crunch's newest "3.0" gym design. Memberships start at $9.99 a month, and the gyms run around the clock.
Here's where each one is going.
Apple Valley
The biggest of the bunch. Crunch is dropping $8 million into a 50,000-square-foot space at 7614 150th Street West, over in the Apple Valley Square shopping center next to PetCo and Burlington. It's set to open in summer 2026. (Want to see what else is happening over there in the meantime? Check out our Apple Valley events page.)
Burnsville
This one's a $5 million, 40,000-square-foot build at 14150 Nicollet Avenue South, also right next to a PetCo. Burnsville is the franchise's second Minnesota location, and it's also targeting a summer 2026 open. You can keep tabs on everything else going on in town over on our Burnsville page.
Eagan
The Eagan gym is a $5.5 million, 35,000-square-foot spot at 1646 Diffley Road. It's the third location in the area for the same group. For everything else happening nearby, here's our Eagan events page.
What's actually inside
Crunch isn't keeping these small. Here's what the 3.0 concept typically includes (exact lineups can vary a bit by club):
Group fitness classes
HIITZone training with indoor turf
Olympic lifting platforms and heavy weights
Miles of cardio
A Ride cycling studio
Hot yoga
A Relax & Recover area (think tanning, HydroMassage beds, and red light therapy)
Kids Crunch babysitting
Full locker rooms with showers and a sauna
The early-bird deal
If you want in before the doors open, Crunch is running a "Founding 500" promo. The first 500 members join for $1 down and get their first month free, and depending on the location you may also get extras like a personal training session and some Crunch swag. You can check the founding rate and the specific perks for each gym over at Crunch's rate reservation page.
They're also hiring big. Each gym is bringing on more than 100 people, from trainers to front-desk staff to babysitters. If you're job hunting, that's worth a look.
So that's the scoop. Three new gyms, all within a short drive, all opening up over the next several months. Whether you're a regular or just thinking about getting back into it, you're about to have a lot more room to work with. And while you wait, our event calendar has plenty of ways to stay busy across the south metro.
