Apple Valley's Free Summer Concerts Are Moving to Bogart's — Here's the 2026 Lineup
TLDR
- Apple Valley's free "Music in Kelley Park" concert series moves to Bogart's Entertainment Center this summer.
- Why? Kelley Park is under construction for a new amphitheater.
- Friday nights, June 19–July 31, plus a Splash Valley show Aug. 7.
- The new amphitheater opens Sept. 26 with an Earth, Wind & Fire tribute, food trucks, and fireworks.
At the May 28, 2026 Apple Valley City Council meeting, the Apple Valley Arts Foundation rolled out this summer's "Music in Kelley Park" concert series — and there's a twist. The beloved free Friday-night shows are moving out of Kelley Park this year. The council officially proclaimed the dates and declared the whole series a community festival.
Why the concerts are moving
Kelley Park is getting a brand-new amphitheater, paid for by the 2023 parks referendum. That's great news long-term, but it means the park is a construction zone this summer. So the Apple Valley Arts Foundation moved the concerts to Bogart's Entertainment Center instead.
"We are fortunate to have citizens who passed a bond referendum who are helping us to recreate and reconstruct Kelley Park and a beautiful amphitheater," co-president Mary Hamann-Roland told the council.
The full 2026 schedule
At Bogart's Entertainment Center — Fridays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., free:
- June 19 — Apple Valley High School R&B Band, plus Continuing Education
- June 26 — Salsa del Sol (sponsored by Think Bank)
- July 10 — Riverside Hitmen
- July 17 — Alex Rossi Band
- July 24 — Michael Monroe (a fan favorite)
- July 31 — Lonesome Losers (a yacht rock band)
At Splash Valley Water Park:
- Aug. 7 — Power of Ten, 6 to 8 p.m. (doors at 5:30). It's a little earlier because of lighting and safety at the pool. No pets or glass containers, please.
The big one — Kelley Park amphitheater grand opening:
- Sept. 26 (a Saturday) — Urban Classics, a tribute to the music of Earth, Wind & Fire, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Expect food trucks and a fireworks-or-drones finale.
For the official list and any updates, the city keeps a Music in Kelley Park page, and local outlet Sun Thisweek also published the summer dates.
What to know before you go
Every show is free, and they're all family-friendly. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Food and drinks are usually available to buy on site, and the Arts Foundation often does prize drawings at the end of the night. The Foundation has been running this series for decades, so it's a well-oiled tradition — it's just wearing a new outfit this year.
The September grand opening is the one to circle. It's the debut of a new amphitheater the community has wanted for years, and it lands on a Saturday instead of the usual Friday — so double-check the day before you head over.
The Bottom Line
Apple Valley's free summer concerts aren't going anywhere — they're just changing addresses while Kelley Park gets its glow-up. Friday nights run at Bogart's from June 19 to July 31, Splash Valley hosts Aug. 7, and the new amphitheater opens Sept. 26. If you're mapping out your summer, this is one of the easiest free family nights in the south metro. For more local happenings, browse our Apple Valley events and news.
