Every Easter Egg Hunt Happening in the South Metro This Spring (2026)
Easter's coming up fast, and if you've got little ones, you're probably already thinking about egg hunts. Good news: the south metro has a ton of them this year — and most are free.
We rounded up every Easter egg hunt we could find across Lakeville, Burnsville, Eagan, Rosemount, Farmington, Savage, Shakopee, and Inver Grove Heights so you don't have to dig through a dozen different websites. Here's what's on the calendar.
Lakeville
Lakeville's going all out this year with three different egg hunts — so whether your kid is a toddler who just wants to pick up shiny things or a bigger kid who's ready for a challenge, there's something for them.
Easter Egg Scramble at the Heritage Center
When: Saturday, March 21 | 10:00 – 10:45 AM
Where: Lakeville Heritage Center, 20110 Holyoke Ave
Ages: 1–10 (kids must be with an adult)
Cost: Paid event (registration required)
Registration deadline: Tuesday, March 17, 2026
This one's more of a breakfast party with an Easter twist. Your kids get scrambled eggs, pastries, and breakfast treats — plus there's a special bunny making an appearance for photos. They'll also have Easter activities to keep the little ones busy. Heads up: space is limited and you've gotta register ahead of time. The deadline is March 17, so don't sleep on it. Infants under 12 months can tag along free with registered family members. Check the Lakeville Parks & Recreation pagefor registration details. Event details →
Golden Egg Hunt (Parks Scavenger Hunt)
When: March 28 – April 4 (all week long)
Where: Various parks around Lakeville
Ages: All ages
Cost: Free
This one's different from your typical egg hunt — it's more of a city-wide scavenger hunt. The city hides four golden eggs across Lakeville parks, and they'll send you clues by email to help you find them. Snap a picture with the egg cutout or your family completing the challenge, submit it, and you're entered to win a spring surprise pack (up to four entries per household). It's a great excuse to get outside and explore some parks you maybe haven't checked out yet. Event details →(Speaking of parks — 1,300 Lakeville residents recently weighed in on what they want from their parks, and the results were pretty interesting.)
Lakeville Easter Egg Hunt (River Valley Church)

Cost: Free
OK, this one's the big one. River Valley Church is putting on a massive free egg hunt at the Lakeville South football stadium — and we're talking over 17,000 eggs. Some of them are bigger and have better prizes inside. But it's not just about the eggs — they'll also have food trucks, inflatables, s'mores, games, and a live Easter Bunny for photos. Two separate rounds means little ones aren't competing with the big kids. This is the kind of event you show up early for. Just saying. Event details →
